Persephone Hopper was born in New York City. She received a classical training in oil painting from the artist Samuel Adoquei at his school, Fine Arts Atelier of Union Square. 

Her current body of work centers around emotional expression, in a series of process based drawings and paintings, using intuitive mark making and color.
