Innerworld Show
A series of self portraits and figures in ink, pastel, colored pencil, and acrylic.
Each piece was created in a moment of strong energy and emotion to express the experience in my body. I translate emotion using intuitive, expressive mark-making, and color.
There was a live cello performance inside the installation by Daniel Lin

Innerworld installation details
The innerworld was constructed of silk fabric, and cotton curtains, with sheets and pillows on the floor.
Daniel improvised for an hour on the cello. I let people into the installation one at a time. I wanted to give everyone a moment alone in “the body” to have their own emotional experience.
Ezekiella recorded Daniel’s playing and sounds from the outer gallery, then played back the audio while Daniel continued to play. This created a layered effect, with words, laughter and ambient sounds, along with cello music, playing under his improvisation.
